The Lord is calling many Muslims to come out of the dark prison of sin and make their way to freedom, life, and joy in Christ. God asks us, his Church, to be ready for them, to go outside our confines, our boundaries—to prepare the way for many Muslims to enter his Kingdom

Some of us are the messengers who go out to invite them. Others serve as the welcoming committee to receive converts, help and disciple them.

The Lord says to us, “Prepare the way for the people. Build a highway, build it up! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations” (Isaiah 62:10, SEB). Although this verse talks about nations and peoples of various ethnic groups, religions, and backgrounds, let us focus our prayers particularly for Muslims.

Over the centuries, road blocks have been raised that have hindered people. Those blocks should be brought down. We need to smooth out our intercultural differences without jeopardizing our biblical convictions and values. Demonic holds should be defeated by the power of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

Lord God our Maker, Savior and Father, we thank you for the privilege of interceding for Muslims. We are needy people. We need your help, and that is why we’re praying. We want to be faithful workers in your harvest field.

We know, Lord, that you want us to use the great opportunities you create for your Church to receive Muslims into your Kingdom and disciple them. Help us remove any obstacles and prepare the road for them.

We remember that William Tyndale said, “I will help the boy behind the plow to be able to read and understand the Bible in his own language!” So help us build a highway for Muslims to understand the Gospel and come to Jesus. Show us how to gather in the great harvest. Speak to and through us in a clear and powerful way.

In the name of Jesus, your Son, our Lord. Amen.

PROMISE

You will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I (Isaiah 58:9, NIV).
