This week we pray about the legacy of Faouzi Hussein Arzouni
Faouzi was raised in a conservative Muslim home in a predominantly Muslim country. He was on a path of destructive anger and bitterness. But God’s grace reached down to him. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. From then on, events progressed at a very high speed. He received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, went to Bible college in the United States and graduated, married a godly woman, started pastoring a church in California, went to Africa as a missionary, led many Muslims and animists to Christ, established many churches in Africa, and taught in Bible colleges and seminaries around the world. Remember, he had been born and raised a Muslim!
All this is only possible through the power of the Spirit of God in a soul that is totally submitted to the Lord and which seeks his glory. It is only possible for someone who counts the cost and is willing to pay the price of following the Master.
What a life! On January 1, 2022, Faouzi entered heaven to be greeted by his Lord and Master whom he had served most of his life.
PRAYER
Lord God, thank you for the legacy of people like Faouzi. Thank you for his life and his example. Thank you for filling him with your Spirit and for enabling him to hear and obey your voice. Thank you for the wonderful fruit he harvested as he worked for the Master.
I pray that many Muslims will hear your voice and obey your call as Faouzi did. We know that you work by the power of your Spirit through all kinds of people. You are seeking followers like Faouzi. You are looking for disciples who raise your banner, no matter the cost.
PROMISE
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people” (Matthew 4:19, NIV).
