Achan served in Israel’s army during Joshua’s time. After God’s people won a war against their enemies, he stole some of the booty that should have been dedicated to the Lord. His action brought trouble, calamity and destruction upon himself and his people. As a punishment, he was stoned to death in an area called the Valley of Achor, meaning the valley of disaster or calamity (Joshua 7:24-26).
Satan has in fact stolen a vast nation, an entire group of people that should have been dedicated to Christ. God can reverse that tragedy and bring Muslims to the Kingdom of his beloved Son.
Prayer
God of history, Master Architect of events, we pray that you will manifest your power and glory. With holy boldness we approach you through the cross. With joyful gratitude we bow before you. We acknowledge we are unworthy of your favor and grace.
We are praying against a powerful enemy. But you are the Almighty Lord and King. Satan has usurped what does not belong to him. He has enslaved Muslims. Because they are away from Jesus, they are under the dominion and authority of the enemy.
Look down from heaven above and see the plight of the children of Islam. Have mercy on them and send your Spirit to convict them and lead them safely to Christ, the only Savior and Lord.
May they be restored to the God who made them, the true God, their Redeemer. Set them free, Almighty Savior. Fulfill the promise that you have given us in your Word that the Plain of Sharon will be a pasture and that the Valley of Disaster will become a resting place for the flock, for your people who seek you (Isaiah 65:10).

Promise
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full… I… will make the valley of Achor a door of hope (John 10:10; Hosea 2:15, NIV).
